Director of Facilities in Southfield, Michigan at Surgeons Choice Medical Center

Is Looking for:

Director of Facilities- Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

$100,000-$120,000/ Year

Qualifications/Position Requirements:

1. Education/Experience
   • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
   • Minimum of five years’ experience in plant operations/maintenance, with supervisory responsibility in a hospital setting.
   • Experience in maintenance record keeping and safety officer capacity.
   • Experience working on special projects while handling Director of Facilities Responsibilities.

1. Preferred but not required
   • Vocational training in plumbing, electrical, cooling and heating is desirable.
   • Courses in hospital housekeeping or institutional management desired.
   • Must be able to take classes offered by hospital and be able to attend seminars.

1. Licensure/Certification

One or more of the following is desirable:

• Certified Healthcare Facility Manager
• Certified Facility Manager
• Engineer
• Certified Healthcare Safety Professional
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Electrical

1. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
   • Must possess strong project management skills.
   • Must be familiar with OSHA/MIOSHA rules and regulations.
   • Strong knowledge of regulations and standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, AOA and/or JCAHO.
   • Familiar with the processes of scheduling of contractors.
   • Ability to interact effectively with Administration.
