Summer Camp Timber Challenge in East Troy, Wisconsin at Timber-lee Ministries Inc

Spend your summer 50 feet up, walking campers through the moment they decide they can do it. As a Timber Challenge Facilitator, you'll run the zipline, high ropes, climbing tower, and archery range, keeping safety and spiritual impact at the center of every element.

• Facilitate high-adventure activities including zipline, high ropes, tower, and archery
• Prioritize safety while encouraging confidence and teamwork
• Assist in maintaining challenge course areas and equipment
• Help campers and guests feel welcomed and supported
• Reflect Christ's love through your actions and words
• Participate in staff training and team meetings
• Assist with camper arrival and departure on weekends
• Participate in camp activities planned by the Recreation and Ministry Departments, primarily after dinner hours
• Flex into other roles and temporary assignments as needed, including Cabin Leader

• $275/week + housing and meals included
• Challenge course training and hands-on facilitation experience

• This is a live-in, residential role
• May include temporary reassignment to Cabin Leader or other roles based on camp needs
• Requires active participation in a Christian ministry environment

What We're Looking For

• A professing Christian with a personal faith
• Comfort working at height and confidence following detailed safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment under pressure
• Interest in mentoring and working with youth
• Willingness to be fully engaged in a live-in summer camp environment

Physical Requirements

• Able to work at heights up to 55 feet while wearing protective gear
• Able to reach and touch items at a height of 84 inches off the ground
• Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Must remain below the manufacturer's maximum climber weight of 265 pounds

• Staff Training: June 1 – June 12
• Camp Sessions: June 13 – August 7

You'll spend the summer coaching people through fear. That teaches you how to stay calm, read a group, and say the right thing at the right moment, and those skills follow you into every job and relationship after this one. You'll also be the person standing at the top of the tower when a camper finally steps off the platform. That's a summer worth having.
