Job Overview:

As a Nursing Supervisor:

• Acts as an administrative liaison and coordinates patient care activities

• Requires the ability to recognize priority situations, act, and make appropriate decisions

• Addresses system issues to facilitate the provision of quality and efficient care

• Facilitates timely transfer of patients to designated clinical areas

• Utilizes escalation process to resolve issues/problems

• Utilizes bed prioritization process criteria to ensure patient flow and admission

• Excellent communication, leadership ability, time management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills required

To be considered for this Nursing Supervisor opportunity, you must have a minimum of 3 years of clinical/hospital experience and a minimum of 1 year of leadership experience. You must also hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing, a BSN degree, a current American Heart Association BLS certification, and current ACLS certification. An MSN and 3–5 years prior supervisory/management experience is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position offers a 11pm-7am per diem schedule — at least two shifts per 4-week schedule; one major summer and one major winter holiday.
