Job Description
Title: Documents & Item Processing Lead Specialist
Location: Gettysburg, PA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, generally between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (40-hour week) based on departmental needs. This position also requires participation in system testing at least one Sunday per month for approximately 1-2 hours.

What You Bring to the Table (Qualifications)
- Education beyond a high school diploma with coursework in business or a related field
- Two or more years of banking operations, item processing, document management, deposit operations, or related experience
- Knowledge of banking operations, item processing, reconciliations, and operational controls.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Lead Operational Projects and Improvements
- Participate in and lead departmental and enterprise-wide projects.
- Coordinate system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and implementation activities.
- Identify and recommend process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Support change management initiatives and technology adoption.
- Prepare operational reports and monitor performance metrics.
- Promote compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate across departments to achieve business objectives.
- Support Banking Operations
- Process daily item processing functions, balancing activities, and file management.
- Monitor processing systems, exception queues, and operational workflows.
- Research and resolve processing discrepancies, balancing issues, and exceptions.
- Assist branch personnel with operational questions and problem resolution.
- Support fraud detection efforts, returns processing, and risk management activities.
- Oversee Document Imaging, Mail, and Inventory Functions
- Ensure documents are accurately scanned, indexed, stored, and retrieved.
- Monitor quality control standards and records retention requirements.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and support large-scale mailings.
- Coordinate inventory management and warehouse-related activities.
- Maintain vendor relationships and service expectations.
