Test Engineer in Ashburn, Virginia at C Mack Solutions LLC

CMS is seeking Test Engineers with systems, software, and Agile experience to support a complex program to provide Agile development and operations and maintenance for critical systems on a mission-critical program for the Federal Government. This role will support test planning and execution on an exciting new technology program from requirements definition through testing and deployment.

• Leverage Test Driven Development (TDD) practices within the program’s agile framework to ensure the proper degree of engineering rigor is applied to all assigned tasks.
• Interface with software developers, analysts, and other project team members using the Agile SCRUM methodology.
• Be involved in analyses and the investigation of related applications engineering tasks and prepares design specifications, analysis, and recommendations.
• Take active role in understanding business process behind supported applications.
• Translating and interpreting functional requirements into test cases.
• Perform regression testing until automated, covering full suite of Operational Test Scenarios for builds and/or images to be delivered to customer.
• Develop test data to support either manual or automated testing.
• Prepare test report summarizing test results including anomalies, systems errors, and configuration changes.
• Support Customer Demonstration, data prep and UAT activities.

You must live within the DC, MD, VA area.

U.S. Citizenship is required-must be able to obtain CBP Public Trust clearance

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
• Practical experience using SQL to perform queries for test case validation, and support data-driven decision-making
• Experience with agile development and testing methodologies
• Experience with frontend and backend application testing
• Experience with issue/problem tracking tools, e.g., JIRA.
• Excellent Communication skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with AWS environment
• Experience in Security Testing tools and practices
• Technical expertise with Automated Testing
• Experience effectively utilizing test automation tools like Selenium, Citrus, Cucumber
