Legacy Solutions Inc. is currently hiring on behalf of a charter school partner for an experienced and dynamic Dean of Instruction (K–2). This leadership opportunity is ideal for an instructional leader who is passionate about early literacy achievement, coaching educators, academic excellence, and building strong school culture systems that support student growth and success.

The Role:
The Dean of Instruction (K–2) serves as an instructional leader responsible for driving academic excellence and fostering a strong, equitable school culture across Kindergarten through 2nd grade classrooms, with a primary focus on early literacy achievement. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in foundational reading instruction, Science of Reading practices, literacy intervention systems, and coaching teachers to deliver high-quality, data-driven instruction that leads to measurable student growth.
As the Dean of Instruction, you will support teachers and students by developing effective instructional and behavior management systems, reviewing lesson plans, analyzing student achievement data, and communicating regularly with families about student progress. In partnership with teachers, school leaders, students, and families, you will help ensure all students receive rigorous, engaging, and supportive instruction while building a positive learning environment rooted in high expectations, strong relationships, and student success.
Qualifications:
Evidence of significant and consistent personal and professional achievement
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Experience: 3+ years of experience as a classroom teacher with a proven record of high achievement and 1+ years of experience leading and/or coaching teachers, including but not limited to roles such as Assistant Principal, Principal, Dean of Instruction, Dean of Academics, Instructional Coach, Teacher Coach, etc.

Focus on the main goal, which is to prepare all students for college and life
Set high expectations for yourself and others to achieve and exceed goals
Lead teachers to produce excellent and measurable results
Help teachers improve their teaching skills quickly through daily observations, coaching, data discussions, and useful evaluations
Supervise the use of curricula and assessments to meet high academic expectations
Review teachers' weekly lesson plans and give feedback
Use data to create strategies that achieve measurable goals
Keep families informed about their child's progress
Build relationships with students and families based on trust, understanding, and respect
Help create a clear behavior management system while building students' character and community
Create a positive and productive learning environment for each student
Attend weekly meetings, participate in school events, and engage in continuous learning and development
