Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Level 2 Coordinator supports the Clinical Coordinator and providers with the coordination and clinical workflow of Level 2 procedures performed at Park Center for Procedures (PCP). This role is responsible for helping ensure all pre-procedure requirements are completed, patients are properly prepared and educated, and clinical documentation is completed accurately and timely.

The LPN will assist with patient communication, procedural preparation, follow-up care coordination, and daily clinical operations within APMSS. This position works closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, registered nurses, and clinical staff to help maintain an efficient workflow and high standard of patient care in a fast-paced pain management environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track pre-procedure requirements for Level 2 procedures performed at PCP.
  • Complete pre-procedure patient calls to review instructions, medications, clearances, imaging, labs, transportation requirements, and consents.
  • Verify all required documentation and checklist items are completed prior to scheduled procedures.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, patient history updates, and assessment information accurately in the EMR.
  • Assist the Clinical Coordinator, physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff with daily patient care and procedural workflow.
  • Educate patients regarding procedure preparation, post-procedure expectations, and follow-up instructions.
  • Complete post-procedure follow-up calls and document patient status appropriately.
  • Communicate patient concerns, abnormal findings, or procedural issues to the provider and Clinical Coordinator as needed.
  • Assist with medication preparation and maintain sterile technique during clinical and procedural activities.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms and clinical areas.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards, OSHA regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and office policies.
  • Assist with incoming patient care calls, refill coordination, and other clinical support duties as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical team to maintain efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.
Requirements:
  • Current active Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Prior experience in pain management, outpatient procedures, surgery center, or procedural-based practice preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of E-Clinical Works highly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Understanding of sterile technique, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist with patient care activities throughout the workday.
