About This Position

Description:

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Urology team. This role provides clinical support to physicians and advanced providers, assists with urological procedures, and ensures high-quality patient care in a fast-paced specialty setting. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and experienced in clinical workflows.


Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories accurately
  • Assist providers with urological exams and in-office procedures (e.g., cystoscopy, catheter placement, bladder scans)
  • Administer medications and injections as ordered by providers
  • Perform clinical tasks such as catheter care, specimen collection, and urinalysis
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, and post-procedure care instructions
  • Coordinate lab work, imaging, referrals, and follow-up care
  • Manage prescription refills and assist with prior authorizations
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Monitor patient flow and assist in maintaining an efficient clinic environment
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and prepared
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA compliance
  • Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff
Requirements:
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Florida
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience; urology or specialty experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
  • Experience with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks, Athena, Epic, or similar)
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Experience in urology, nephrology, or surgical specialty
  • Familiarity with catheterization, bladder scanning, and urodynamic testing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Team-oriented with a positive, patient-centered approach
Work Environment & Schedule
  • Full-time, onsite position
  • Monday–Friday schedule (hours may vary based on clinic needs)
  • May require occasional travel between office locations
