Key Responsibilities
Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Urology team. This role provides clinical support to physicians and advanced providers, assists with urological procedures, and ensures high-quality patient care in a fast-paced specialty setting. The ideal candidate is organized, patient-focused, and experienced in clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories accurately
- Assist providers with urological exams and in-office procedures (e.g., cystoscopy, catheter placement, bladder scans)
- Administer medications and injections as ordered by providers
- Perform clinical tasks such as catheter care, specimen collection, and urinalysis
- Educate patients on diagnoses, medications, and post-procedure care instructions
- Coordinate lab work, imaging, referrals, and follow-up care
- Manage prescription refills and assist with prior authorizations
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Monitor patient flow and assist in maintaining an efficient clinic environment
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and prepared
- Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Florida
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience; urology or specialty experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Experience with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks, Athena, Epic, or similar)
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Experience in urology, nephrology, or surgical specialty
- Familiarity with catheterization, bladder scanning, and urodynamic testing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented with a positive, patient-centered approach
- Full-time, onsite position
- Monday–Friday schedule (hours may vary based on clinic needs)
- May require occasional travel between office locations
