Job Summary:

The Imaging Registration Representative Lead assists the Imaging Registration Representative Supervisor in day-to-day operations of the Radiology & Cardiology Front Office Operations- including the Team, Patients, Systems, Equipment, & Workflow Processes.

Provide customer service, reception and clerical support ensuring patient records and schedules are efficiently maintained and recorded for all areas in a fast-paced Imaging environment. The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish- required

  • Previous clerical, reception, admitting or registration work - required

  • Able to type a minimum of 30wpm

  • Must be organized, able to multi-task

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required

  • Course work related to medical terminology- preferred

Responsibilities

  • Staff Management:

  • Train & lead Front Operations Teammates, including new employee onboarding and ongoing competency assessments.

  • Assign work duties and responsibilities to staff based on skill level and patient needs.

  • Share feedback and escalate performance issues.

  • Clinical Operations:

  • Lead the daily operations of the Imaging Front Desk Operations, including patient flow, scheduling, and exam prioritization.

  • Patient Care:

  • Address patient concerns and questions related to imaging appointments.

  • Collaborate with clinicians to ensure appropriate imaging orders and patient preparation.

  • Escalate complex patient situations to the appropriate healthcare provider or healthcare leader.

  • Equipment Management:

  • Monitor the functionality and maintenance of Front Office equipment and coordinating repairs.

  • Administrative Tasks:

  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.

Work Experience

  • 2+ Years in Patient Access Leadership- required

  • Acting Lead Experience- preferred
