Medical Laboratory Scientist - Nashville (3rd Shift) in Nashville, Tennessee at Blood Assurance

Blood Assurance is seeking a dependable candidate for a full-time 3rd shift (11pm-7am) Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist in our Nashville lab location. This position offers a shift premium.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform basic to complex serologic patient testing and interpret result to determine donor-recipient compatibility.
• Perform serologic antigen typing on donor units.
• May consult and communicate with staff at other medical facilities, to resolve serologic problems and provide special units to transfusion recipients.
• Maintain accurate, legible and complete records.
• Adhere to explicit standard operating procedures and interpret test results in accordance with applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

Qualified candidates must have current MT or MLT Certification and AS/BS Degree. Blood banking experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and in a team environment with a positive, professional attitude.
