This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Lifecycle Time & Attendance based in Australia.
This role is a senior operational leadership position focused on overseeing global Time & Attendance (T&A) service delivery within a fast-scaling international HR operations environment. The Manager will lead a distributed team responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient management of employee timekeeping processes across multiple jurisdictions, with a strong focus on APAC markets. You will act as both a people leader and functional expert, guiding complex case resolution, ensuring regulatory compliance, and continuously improving service delivery standards. The role combines operational excellence, employee relations expertise, and process optimization in a highly dynamic, remote-first organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including Product, Legal, Operations, and Engineering to enhance systems, workflows, and automation. This position plays a key role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability of global workforce operations while maintaining a strong customer-centric approach.
- Lead, coach, and develop a distributed Time & Attendance operations team, ensuring high performance, engagement, and continuous growth.
- Oversee end-to-end service delivery for T&A processes, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws, labor regulations, and internal policies across multiple jurisdictions.
- Act as the final escalation point for complex T&A cases, including disputes, policy exceptions, and disciplinary matters.
- Manage performance processes including goal setting, evaluations, coaching, and capability development across the team.
- Drive operational excellence by improving workflows, standard operating procedures, and service delivery models.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, Product, Engineering, and Employee Relations to enhance systems and resolve operational challenges.
- Ensure accurate management of sensitive employee data and maintain strict compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Identify opportunities for automation and AI-enabled improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Lead service performance tracking through SLAs, KPIs, and structured reporting to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
- Support complex investigations and provide guidance on timekeeping discrepancies and compliance-related risks.
- Foster a strong remote-first team culture built on collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in HR operations, with strong exposure to international and multi-country environments.
- Proven experience managing distributed or remote teams with a strong coaching and leadership mindset.
- Deep expertise in Time & Attendance processes, wage/hour compliance, labor laws, and employee relations matters.
- Strong knowledge of APAC labor markets and jurisdiction-specific T&A compliance requirements.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, or scale-up environments.
- Strong operational mindset with experience managing SLAs, KPIs, and service delivery performance.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee data with high integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work across global, cross-functional teams.
- Tech-savvy with experience using digital HR systems and workflow tools.
- Experience in remote or async environments is highly desirable.
