Edwards Center is looking for a dependable, practical problem-solver to help keep our homes, facilities, vehicles, tools, and equipment safe, functional, and welcoming. As a Maintenance Technician, your ability to repair, troubleshoot, communicate, and follow through matters most. If you take pride in meticulous, hands-on work and want your skills to support people and programs every day, we encourage you to apply.

Skills You'll Use in This Role

  • General repair and facility upkeep, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall repair, and basic equipment maintenance
  • Preventative maintenance, inspections, safety awareness, and attention to detail
  • Safe operation and care of hand tools, power tools, vehicles, ladders, and maintenance equipment
  • Clear documentation of completed work, maintenance needs, supply requests, and safety concerns
  • Professional communication with supervisors, coworkers, vendors, and program teams

What You'll Do

  • Complete maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks across Edwards Center properties
  • Follow daily maintenance schedules and help identify issues before they become larger problems
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces, tools, vehicles, and storage areas
  • Support building safety by reporting hazards, completing safety checks, and following established procedures
  • Adapt to changing priorities while remaining reliable, respectful, and team-oriented

What Helps You Succeed

  • You enjoy practical, hands-on work and solving real-world problems
  • You notice details, follow safety practices, and speak up when something needs attention
  • You can work independently while staying connected to a team
  • You communicate clearly, document your work, and follow through on commitments
  • You bring patience, professionalism, flexibility, and respect to every interaction

What You'll Bring

  • Hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, construction, facilities, trades, groundskeeping, or a related practical field
  • Ability to safely use common tools and equipment and learn site-specific procedures
  • Ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, stand, walk, climb, and work indoors or outdoors as duties require
  • Valid Oregon driver's license and ability to meet vehicle insurance eligibility requirements
  • Willingness to complete required training, including First Aid/CPR, safety, confidentiality, mandatory reporting, and other role-related training

Why Join Edwards Center?

Your work will help create safe, comfortable, and well-maintained spaces where people can live, work, and receive support. You will join a team that values dependability, safety, respect, teamwork, and the practical skills that keep operations moving. Every repair completed, safety issue prevented, and maintenance task finished contributes to a better experience for the people we serve.

Ready to Apply?

We welcome candidates whose skills come from jobs, trades, volunteer work, caregiving, military service, hobbies, or other hands-on experience. If you can solve problems, work safely, communicate clearly, and take pride in dependable maintenance work, we'd love to hear from you. Tell us about the skills you've developed and the impact you've made, regardless of where you gained that experience.

Edwards Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applicants from all backgrounds and experiences to apply.
