JOB TITLE: Sr. Ops Associate

REPORTS TO: Regional Manager, Sr. Regional Manager 

DEPARTMENT: Operations Team  

LOCATION: Buena Park, CA

SUMMARY 


The NSO / Operations Associate – G3 represents the TOUS les JOURS brand to franchisees and customers by supporting successful New Store Openings and operational stabilization in the field.

This role serves as the primary on-site execution lead for NSO activities under the direction of the Franchise Business Consultant (FBC), Sr. FBC, or Regional Manager. While the FBC maintains overall ownership and final direction for the opening, the Sr. Ops Associate is responsible for coordinating day-to-day execution, supporting store readiness, leading on-site training execution, identifying operational gaps, and ensuring tasks are completed according to company standards.

Depending on business needs, this role may also be assigned to support and manage a small number of existing franchise locations.


JOB DUTIES 

(Include, but are not limited to the following) 

1. New Store Opening (NSO) On-Site Execution Leadership

• Lead on-site execution of NSO activities under the direction of the FBC, Sr. FBC, or Regional Manager.

• Coordinate day-to-day setup, training, product preparation, equipment readiness, and operational execution during the opening process.

• Serve as the primary execution lead on-site while supporting the overall direction set by the FBC.

• Ensure NSO checklists, timelines, and required opening tasks are completed according to company standards.

• Identify operational gaps during setup, opening and escalate key decisions to the FBC when necessary.

• Support store readiness across all operational areas, including BOH, FOH, storage, product display, and customer service flow.


2. Training & Opening Support

• Lead execution of standardized training for new store staff under FBC guidance.

• Coach franchisees and store employees on basic operating procedures, product handling, customer service flow, and brand standards.

• Provide hands-on support during opening days to help stabilize operations.

• Monitor execution quality during the opening phase and provide immediate feedback to store teams.

• Support transition from opening setup to daily store operations.

3. Post-Opening Stabilization

• Monitor early-stage store operations after opening and identify areas requiring follow-up.

• Track initial operational performance, product execution, and store readiness issues.

• Provide follow-up support to franchisees based on guidance from the FBC or Regional Manager.

• Assist with early sales and operational observations to help identify improvement opportunities.

• Ensure unresolved opening issues are reported and followed up until completion.

4. Existing Store Operational Support

• Depending on business needs, support and manage a small number of existing franchise locations.

• Conduct store visits to review operational execution, product quality, display, cleanliness, and brand standard compliance.

• Identify operational improvement opportunities and support corrective action execution.

• Provide direct coaching to franchisees and store teams within assigned scope.

• Report store performance, operational concerns, and follow-up progress to the FBC, Sr. FBC, or Regional Manager.


5. Risk Management & Issue Escalation

• Identify store-level operational risks during NSO or existing store support.

• Address routine operational issues on-site within assigned authority.

• Escalate significant issues, policy concerns, or business-impacting decisions to the FBC, Sr. FBC, or Regional Manager.

• Support QSC improvement activities and follow up on assigned corrective actions.

• Coordinate with internal departments as directed to resolve operational issues.



6. Communication & Coordination

Serve as the on-site communication lead for assigned NSO execution tasks.

Coordinate with franchisees, store teams, and internal departments to support opening readiness.

Provide clear updates to the FBC, Sr. FBC, or Regional Manager on progress, issues, and action items.

Ensure communication is consistent, timely, and aligned with company standards.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. An associate’s degree or relevant training in Hospitality or Business is preferred. 

• Experience: Prior experience (2+ years) in the food service, quick service restaurant (QSR), or multi-unit retail industry is highly preferred. Relevant leadership experience, such as a shift leader or supervisory role, is a plus. 

• Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Office, Email). Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to learn new operational standards quickly and train others effectively. 

• Other: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Willingness to travel regionally for New Store Openings (NSOs) and store visits (Up to75% travel).
