Requirements:The Real Estate Litigation Specialist/Paralegal provides litigation support to eight attorneys in the tax sale litigation department of a tax collection law firm. The Real Estate Litigation Specialist/Paralegal is responsible for managing cases through the entirety of the tax sale litigation process. This includes identifying parcels that qualify for litigation, preparing the proper notice, ordering and reviewing titles, preparing and filing Complaints along with supporting litigation documents, scheduling hearings, preparing auctions, and closing out sales after confirmation by the court.

Salary: starting at $45,000
Job Type: In Office Full Time, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing cases through the entirety of the tax sale litigation process.
- Conduct title review and research.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, interrogations, and depositions.
- Communicating with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress.
- Tracks all cases and organizes and maintains case files.
- Performs general tax collection duties.
- Identify parcels that qualify for sale and prepare the proper notice advertisements.
- Orders and reviews titles.
- Prepares and files Complaints and all supporting litigation documents
- Schedules hearings, including coordinating with court officials and managing court filings.
- Preparing and conducting auctions and closing out sales after confirmation by the court.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal databases, and scheduling software.
- Understanding of real estate laws, litigation procedures, and legal documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and legal environments.
- Ability to multi-task effectively.
Qualifications:
- Civil litigation and/or title review experience is helpful.
- Previous work experience in a legal support role.
- Technical proficiency, ideally in research databases.
