At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Cardiopulmonary Manager to join our team. Under the leadership of Director of Clinical Services, is responsible for the planning, organizing, and management of the Cardiopulmonary Department and the Arterial Blood Gas laboratory to ensure that quality care is delivered to patients in a fiscally responsible manner. The Cardiopulmonary Manager will assume direct patient care responsibilities as needed to ensure timely and fiscally responsible delivery of cardiopulmonary services. This includes advancing and maintaining the Cardiopulmonary Services standards while supporting the Valley Regional Healthcare Mission Statement.
The primary responsibility of the Cardiopulmonary Manager is:
- Performs EKGs, sends reports to physicians who requested them and files reports according to department procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of the various methods of oxygen delivery with understanding of oxygen concentrations and medication doses as they relate to patients of varying ages.
- Administers respiratory therapy treatments, understands the purpose of each and the possible side effects associated with each.
- Sets-up and monitors mechanical ventilators and the associated critical care duties required for such treatment, such as airway management and tracheal suctioning.
- Formulates a teaching plan based on the identified learning needs of a patient and evaluates the effectiveness of learning. Patient’s family is included in teaching as appropriate.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the differences in techniques and treatment modalities as performed on patients of varying ages, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients, as well as the general patient population.
- When ordered by a physician, the Respiratory Therapist evaluates and treats patients according to the scope of practice and accepted professional standards.
- Uses various Respiratory Care equipment and modalities safely, following written procedures for treatment.
- Follows all hospital and department policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Graduate of a Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
- Registered (RRT) or eligible by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Licensure by the State of New Hampshire as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
- Elsevier modules (within 2 weeks of hire and annually).
- Bachelor of Science Degree.
Compensation:
Min: $36.49
Max: $56.56
