Med-Otolaryngology - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26003409)

The Department of Otolaryngology is seeking multiple full-time postdoctoral associates. The postdoctoral associates will be responsible for performing research with the Tzounopoulos Laboratory under the direction of Dr. Thanos Tzounopoulos studying the mechanisms of hearing loss and tinnitus. Namely, to study the organization and function of auditory cortical systems in awake behaving mice with tinnitus and hearing loss. The responsibilities will primarily involve in vivo neural monitoring techniques (one/two-photon calcium imaging, electrophysiology etc) and data analysis. In addition, they will have significant involvement in data interpretation and subsequent figure and manuscript preparation/submission, as well as contributing to the overall culture of the Laboratory.

Job Qualifications

The candidates must have a Ph.D., MD, or equivalent degree in a science-related field. Experience in a laboratory is preferred.
