Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 annually, Eligible for discretionary bonus up to 10%

AGSE Tooling is seeking a highly accurate, detail-oriented Data Entry & Excel Specialist to join our Cincinnati team. This is more than a traditional data entry position. We're looking for someone with exceptional Microsoft Excel skills who enjoys working with large amounts of information, identifying inconsistencies, and ensuring business data is complete, accurate, and reliable.

In this role, you will maintain and reconcile information across multiple company systems, develop and manage advanced spreadsheets, and support critical reporting needs. You will collaborate with Customer Service, Purchasing, Operations, Accounting, and other departments to help maintain the integrity of our business information.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain customer, supplier, inventory, and other business information in company systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Create, maintain, and manage advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheets utilizing VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, complex formulas, conditional formatting, data validation, and other advanced functions.
  • Review and validate source documents to ensure information is complete, consistent, and accurate before entering it into company systems.
  • Compare and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple spreadsheets, reports, and business systems.
  • Identify, investigate, and correct discrepancies, duplicate records, missing information, and data entry errors.
  • Develop and maintain organized spreadsheets, reports, and summaries to support departmental operations and decision-making.
  • Verify spreadsheet formulas, calculations, and data accuracy before submitting or distributing information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within company ERP and business management systems.
  • Assist with data cleanup, reconciliation, reporting, and special projects.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Purchasing, Operations, Accounting, and other departments to resolve data inconsistencies and support reporting needs.
  • Organize and maintain electronic documents and records in accordance with company procedures.
  • Independently manage multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data organization, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive business and customer information.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or additional education in business, accounting, data management, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, accounting support, reporting, or another position involving significant data management responsibilities.
  • Advanced to expert-level Microsoft Excel proficiency is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong working knowledge of:
    • VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP
    • PivotTables and data analysis
    • Advanced formulas and functions
    • Conditional formatting and data validation
    • Sorting, filtering, and managing large data sets
    • Comparing and reconciling information across multiple spreadsheets
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is essential. Must be able to identify even minor discrepancies, inconsistencies, and errors within large volumes of information.
  • Ability to independently review, validate, and verify completed work before submission.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform repetitive, detail-intensive tasks while maintaining consistently high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
  • Experience with ERP or business management systems preferred but not required.
  • Dependable, professional, and able to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Must be able to work full-time, on-site at AGSE Tooling's Cincinnati, Ohio facility.
