Job Summary:

This position plays a critical part in ensuring organizational compliance with employment laws, payroll and benefits administration, and daily HR functions. The HR Generalist must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, professionalism, and effective cross-department collaboration. This position reports to the HR Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment through attending job fairs, posting positions, and managing applicants through pre-hire background checks, onboarding processes
  • Employee personnel and HR records; manage employee records electronically such as performance reviews, auditing for compliance, reporting data and off boarding processes in compliance with state and federal laws
  • Process employment changes, pay adjustments, and Personnel Action Forms (PAFs)
  • Assist with payroll processing, audits, and reporting
  • Support HR audits, reporting, and policy updates
  • Assist with reconciling payroll and benefits expenses with financial records
  • Benefits administration; adding and removing employees in benefit and payroll systems

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, business or related field required * Additional Experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in nonprofit human resources, healthcare, Medicaid-funded, or government-regulated environments strongly preferred
  • Payroll and benefits administration experience required; experience with Paylocity is highly desirable
