Custodian/Groundskeeper in Pewaukee, Wisconsin at Good Harvest Market Corporation

Good Harvest Market is Waukesha County's largest independently owned natural and organic grocer, home to our onsite restaurant, bar, and event venue, Hop Harvest & Vine. We're looking for a hands-on, self-motivated person who takes pride in keeping our business facilities clean and safe, inside and out. This is an active, varied role that keeps our store, restaurant, and grounds running safely and looking their best every single day.

Daily facility cleaning is a core part of this job. Every shift, you'll be responsible for the conditions of our restrooms, floors, entrances, parking lot and grounds. The right candidate will have custodial experience and familiarity with safe chemical handling and using a floor scrubber, and will also be handy with an ability to assist in completing basic onsite repairs and maintenance needs (filters, hardware, fixtures, minor plumbing, painting, and patching - using good judgment about when we need to call a contractor instead).

Strong candidates will be self-motivated, organized, dependable, able to manage priorities, and comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather year round. 1-2 years of prior experience in a hands-on custodial role is required, with a preference for someone handy who knows their way around a toolbox.

This position is full-time with a set schedule of 6a-2p Tuesday through Saturday, and includes regular lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional lifting up to 75 lbs, along with regular bending, reaching, climbing, and standing throughout the shift.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must have reliable transportation

Must have at least one year of prior Custodian/Groundskeeper experience

Physical Requirements:

Continuous standing.

Frequent walking, bending, twisting, and reaching.

Repetitive use of left or right hand, wrist, arm and shoulder.

Frequent lifting from waist to shoulders of up to 25 pounds.

Occasionally lifting from floor to waist of up to 50 pounds.

Occasional carrying of up to 50 pounds.

Occasional pushing and pulling of up to 75 pounds.

Ability to work in a customer service retail environment.
