This role offers the opportunity to shape talent acquisition across highly specialized Data, Machine Learning, AI, and Software Engineering functions.
You’ll serve as a strategic recruiting partner to engineering and technical leadership, owning complex searches from sourcing through offer.
The position requires more than traditional recruiting expertise, with a strong understanding of modern data platforms, ML systems, cloud technologies, and software engineering practices.
You’ll identify and engage senior and niche technical professionals through targeted sourcing, professional communities, and innovative talent strategies.
Your technical screening and market knowledge will help hiring teams distinguish strong production experience from purely academic or theoretical backgrounds.
You’ll also influence hiring strategy through talent-market insights, compensation intelligence, pipeline analytics, and stakeholder partnership.

- Own full-cycle recruiting for Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, Software Engineers, and other specialized technical positions.
- Develop and publish technically accurate, compelling job descriptions that clearly communicate role requirements and attract qualified candidates.
- Proactively source senior and hard-to-find technical talent through LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, Kaggle, professional communities, networking, and other sourcing channels.
- Evaluate candidate backgrounds across data platforms, machine learning frameworks, cloud environments, software architectures, and engineering practices.
- Conduct detailed technical screening conversations to assess hands-on experience, system design knowledge, technical depth, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Partner with technical interviewers and hiring teams to establish effective assessment approaches, interview standards, and candidate evaluation criteria.
- Distinguish between academic or theoretical machine learning experience and practical, production-grade engineering expertise.
- Work closely with engineering leaders, data architects, ML leaders, and product stakeholders to define hiring requirements, priorities, and sourcing strategies.
- Translate technical and business requirements into focused recruitment strategies and actionable talent pipelines.
- Advise hiring stakeholders on talent availability, market conditions, compensation trends, candidate expectations, and competitive hiring activity.
- Build and maintain long-term pipelines for critical and emerging Data, AI, ML, and Software Engineering skill sets.
- Monitor developments across AI/ML, Big Data, cloud analytics, data platforms, and related technologies to strengthen technical recruiting strategies.
- Manage candidate activity and recruitment workflows accurately within ATS and other recruiting systems.
- Maintain detailed records of interviews, feedback, candidate progression, and hiring decisions.
- Track and report recruitment metrics, including pipeline health, time-to-fill, sourcing effectiveness, and quality of hire.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, candidate quality, stakeholder experience, and overall hiring efficiency.
- 5–8+ years of experience as a Technical Recruiter, with substantial experience recruiting for Data, Machine Learning, AI, Software Engineering, or related technical roles.
- Demonstrated success recruiting senior, specialized, and difficult-to-source technical professionals in fast-paced environments.
- Strong working knowledge of modern data and machine learning ecosystems, including Data Engineering, Big Data platforms, ML frameworks, ML pipelines, and cloud technologies.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, and modern software engineering practices.
- Ability to conduct credible technical screening conversations and evaluate candidates based on hands-on engineering experience, technical depth, and problem-solving ability.
- Strong understanding of technical terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, technical leaders, and other highly specialized stakeholders.
- Excellent sourcing skills and experience using platforms such as LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, Kaggle, and professional technology communities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence hiring managers and translate complex requirements into effective recruiting strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, recruitment analytics tools, and other modern recruiting technologies.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple searches and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to use recruitment data and market intelligence to make informed recommendations and improve hiring outcomes.
