Recruiter & HR Generalist - Remote

Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Recruiter & HR Generalist is part of an innovative team of HR professionals that will collaborate across the organization to bring sustainable success to find, attract, and hire top talent. This role is primarily focused on full-cycle recruiting for highly technical and hard-to-fill positions, delivering an exceptional experience for candidates and hiring managers while providing limited support for HR generalist activities as needed.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment activities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruitment strategy and process

  • Own full-cycle recruitment for technical and non-technical positions

  • Partner with Hiring Managers to define hiring needs and recruiting strategies

  • Source, screen, interview, and recommend qualified candidates

  • Understand and communicate benefits, compensation, total rewards and performance management to candidates

  • Ensure positive applicant, candidate, and employee experiences

  • Train Hiring Managers via varied platforms such as lunch and learns, zoom meetings, and individual sessions

  • Own Recruitment Module within the HRIS system while ensuring legal compliance, and adhering to policies and procedures

  • Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities while working independently

  • Demonstrate integrity through ethical decision-making and accountability

  • Track overall process efficiency including time to fill

  • Timely disposition of applicants

  • Support and assist with On and Off-boarding processes

  • Ensure consistency, attention to detail, and accuracy for all administrative tasks

  • Timely follow-up and follow through

  • Effectively partners with hiring managers at all levels, including senior leadership, while exercising sound judgment and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (or related field); or equivalent combination of education and professional experience

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience focused on technical, IT, engineering, and professional roles, with a strong track record of successfully filling complex and hard-to-fill technical roles

  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter and/or other sourcing tools to identify and engage qualified candidates

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong ability to adapt to diverse hiring manager styles and build trusted partnerships that drive recruiting success

  • Proven savviness to screen candidates, interview, and recommend best fit

  • Proficient with ATS systems (ADP Recruitment module experience a plus)

  • Experience with HR generalist support, including process documentation, training, presentation development and delivery, and process improvement initiatives

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with excellent organizational, prioritization, and follow-up abilities

  • A strong work ethic and commitment to deadlines, coupled with a continuous improvement mindset and passion for learning

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field

  • Professional HR Certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP

  • Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce, particularly the Recruitment Module

  • Familiarity with Docusign

  • Project Management skills and/or certification

  • Experience working within higher education, nonprofit, or member-driven environment

  • Advanced sourcing for niche and unicorn positions

  • Skilled in reporting on HR recruitment metrics and compliance data.

  • Comfort leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies

  • Cover Letter encouraged

What We Offer:

As a full-time employee, you will be eligible to participate in Internet2’s employee benefits program effective on your start date in accordance with the terms and conditions of each plan. The program currently includes medical, dental, life, vision and disability insurances, a health spending account program, sick time, vacation time and a tax deferred retirement plan.

Expected Hiring Range/Pay Grade: $75,000 - $84,400 / B-5

Starting salary is commensurate and may vary with experience and education.

For pay transparency purposes, the full salary range is: $75,000 – $112,500
