Instructional Designer/Technical Curriculum Developer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Instructional Designer/Technical Curriculum Developer in Canada.

In this role, you will design and develop innovative digital learning experiences tailored for technical audiences across global environments. Working closely with subject matter experts, technical teams, and stakeholders, you will transform complex IT and cloud-based concepts into engaging, learner-focused training solutions. This position offers the opportunity to create impactful curriculum pathways, interactive eLearning modules, and scalable training materials that support professional growth and organizational performance. Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain technical training materials and digital learning content for self-directed and instructor-supported learning experiences.
  • Create curriculum pathways and learning solutions focused on IT concepts, cloud technologies, and AWS-related domains.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex technical concepts into engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Develop instructional content aligned with adult learning principles, business objectives, and learner engagement best practices.
  • Build interactive eLearning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
  • Review and validate training materials to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, instructional quality, and clarity.
  • Continuously improve learning content based on learner feedback, analytics, and evolving technical requirements.
  • Maintain and update existing curriculum assets to ensure relevance and alignment with industry standards and emerging technologies.
  • Integrate multimedia, visual design, and AI-enabled tools to enhance learner experience, automation, and knowledge retention.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards in a remote, global work environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in instructional design, technical curriculum development, or digital learning content creation for technical audiences.
  • Proven experience designing self-directed eLearning programs and technical training solutions.
  • Strong understanding of IT concepts, cloud technologies, and familiarity with AWS services and domains.
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise.
  • Excellent written communication, editing, and technical content development skills.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools or AI agents within content development or instructional workflows.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with remote and globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Learning Technologies, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, or digital learning are considered an asset.
  • AWS certifications, hands-on cloud experience, or familiarity with graphic design and multimedia tools are advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
