Senior instructor, Agile Project Management

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Instructor, Agile Project Management in Canada.

This role is focused on shaping the next generation of project management professionals through high-quality, hands-on training in agile methodologies and modern project delivery practices.
You will lead engaging virtual classes for a global cohort of learners, helping them build practical skills aligned with industry standards such as PMBOK 7 and Agile frameworks.
The position combines instructional delivery, curriculum design, and student mentorship, with a strong emphasis on real-world application and career readiness.
You will continuously refine course content, improve learning outcomes, and ensure alignment with evolving project management best practices.
The role also involves supporting students through career development activities such as resume preparation and interview coaching.
It is a remote, flexible teaching opportunity suited for an experienced project manager with a passion for education and knowledge sharing.

Accountabilities:
  • Deliver engaging online Project Management training sessions to global learners in a structured virtual classroom environment.
  • Review, enhance, and update course materials to align with PMBOK 7 and current industry standards.
  • Teach agile frameworks and project management tools such as Scrum, Jira, and Smartsheet.
  • Assess student assignments, provide feedback, and support continuous learning progress.
  • Guide students through career development activities including resume reviews and interview preparation.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of curriculum content and learning experiences.
  • Support student success by fostering practical understanding of project management concepts and applications.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience working with agile frameworks in real projects.
  • 3+ years of experience teaching Project Management in a structured academic or training environment.
  • PMP certification is mandatory.
  • Agile certifications such as CSM, CSPO, PSM, PSPO, or equivalent are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to teach complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Smartsheet.
  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and student development abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, self-managed environment.
