This role sits at the intersection of payroll operations and payroll accounting, with a strong focus on Pay Day processes and labor allocation activities within enterprise HR systems. You will work in a dynamic, data-driven environment supporting end-to-end payroll execution, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing across multiple cycles. The position involves close interaction with HR, finance, and IT stakeholders to maintain seamless payroll operations and system integrity. You will also contribute to payroll accounting activities, including journal preparation and reconciliation across enterprise modules. Beyond operational execution, the role offers exposure to system enhancements, UAT testing, and process transformation initiatives. It is well-suited for professionals who enjoy analytical problem-solving, structured processes, and cross-functional collaboration in a global setup.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing and supporting end-to-end payroll operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of outputs. You will also contribute to payroll accounting processes and system governance activities.
- Process payroll cycles in enterprise HR systems, ensuring accurate computation of earnings, deductions, benefits, and taxes.
- Prepare payroll accounting journals and support reconciliation activities across payroll and finance modules.
- Maintain and update payroll data, reports, and documentation including master data controls and global data dictionaries.
- Generate regular payroll reports and dashboards for management and stakeholder review.
- Support system testing (UAT), data validation, data extraction, and process improvement initiatives.
- Address payroll-related queries and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Participate in governance calls, audits, and cross-functional coordination with PMOs and service teams.
- Assist in onboarding new country payroll transitions and system enhancements.
The ideal candidate brings strong payroll operations experience combined with solid accounting knowledge and system proficiency in enterprise HR/finance tools.
- 2+ years of experience in payroll operations or payroll accounting, preferably in a senior analyst or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft 9.2 payroll systems and HRIS tools (e.g., Cognos) along with advanced MS Excel skills.
- Exposure to payroll accounting modules such as labor allocation, projects, billing, or related finance systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, data flows, and accounting principles.
- Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and support UAT testing in collaboration with technical and business teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in multinational environments with 3+ years in payroll accounting or analytical roles is preferred.
