Job Description

We are looking for a QA/QC Specialist to join our team and support the quality assurance and quality control efforts across our construction projects. The main goal of this position is to ensure that all work is completed in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and the industry’s best practices. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality results.

About the Role:
As a QA/QC Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting field quality inspections, audits, and assessments to verify compliance with project requirements and quality standards. You will coordinate and facilitate pre-construction and post-construction quality meetings, document findings, track corrective actions, and provide detailed quality reports to project stakeholders. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with project teams to continuously improve quality performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field quality inspections and audits on active construction projects.
  • Monitor compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and company procedures.
  • Coordinate and facilitate pre-construction quality meetings.
  • Lead and document post-construction quality review meetings.
  • Prepare and distribute quality inspection reports, audit findings, and corrective action reports.
  • Track and follow up on quality deficiencies to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to address quality-related issues.
  • Maintain quality documentation and records in accordance with company requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation of quality initiatives.

What You Bring:
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in construction quality control, quality assurance, field inspections, or a related construction role. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Systems Knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills. Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across project teams. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Physical Requirements:
  • Desk and computer-based work.
  • Inspect job sites: walk up to 1 mile and climb stairs.
  • Lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
