57100-YOUTH CARE SUPERVISOR in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania at KidsPeace Childrens Hospital

The Bilingual Youth Care Supervisor is responsible for administrative coordination of the shelter house. This responsibility includes formulating and implementing formal unit policies and procedures and keeping both the shelter staff and clients aware of agency and departmental guidelines. This also includes accepting responsibility for the overall functioning of the shelter, including staff performance, the quality of the shelter program, and any emergencies that may occur.

Competencies:
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent education / experience in a Child Welfare or Human Services related field required.
Minimum 2 years experience working with children / adolescents required.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Possess, exhibit, and maintain competency in dealing with youth.
Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Must pass a Criminal History Record Clearance & a Child Abuse History Clearance which are processed by KidsPeace as well as possess a valid driver's license.
Must pass a Physical & Drug screening & possess the ability to attend & successfully complete all KidsPeace sponsored training. EOE
