Position Summary |
Provides office support to include calls, records, billing, scheduling, referrals, reports and inventory.
Oversees the supervision, and retention of volunteers who support hospice patients and their families.
Ensures volunteers provide compassionate, high-quality service aligned with hospice philosophy and regulatory standards.
This includes patient-facing, administrative and bereavement support to equal at least 5% of overall patient care hours as required by Medicare.

Primary Position Responsibilities |
- General Office Work and office supply management
- Day to day operations and assignments of Hospice volunteers. Volunteer Supervision & Support
- Maintain regular contact with volunteers and represents volunteers @ weekly interdisciplinary team meeting. Completes required documentation in EMR.
- Documents volunteer assignments and frequencies in EMR.
- Ensures accurate documentation of Hunterdon Hospice volunteer visits and, documenting cost savings through the use of volunteers. Maintains a Hunterdon Hospice volunteer staff sufficient to provide administrative or direct patient care in an amount that, at a minimum, equals 5 percent of the total patient care hours of all paid Hunterdon Hospice employees and contract staff
- Assists with events such as Memorial Services, Bereavement Program Planning, etc
- Collaborate with Manager of Volunteer Resources for collaboration of training, assisting with personnel records, Recognition & Retention, etc. Program Admin in compliance with regulatory requirements.
