Description:

Let your career take flight as a Procurement Specialist at Acutec Precision Aerospace. This role assists with planning, researching, and purchasing commodities, keeping suppliers informed of specific needs on behalf of the Company. Work closely with receiving department personnel to assure timely delivery of materials, and follow policies and procedures as deemed appropriate for each situation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and evaluates bid responses, monitors delivery, and maintains necessary records.
  • Coordinates and validates material requirements meet customer demand with sales department.
  • Interface with Engineering and read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable government regulations.
  • Coordinates competitive and sole source procurements to meet required purchase dates and prepares required support documentation.
  • Utilizes MS Office Suite, JobBoss, SentryFile and other applications.
  • Participates in cost and pricing reviews with program management and customers.
  • Follows up, expedites, and negotiates changes relative to delivery and supplier performance.
  • Utilizes communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences.
  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required

Key Roles

  • Source castings, forgings, and assembly hardware to meet customer and production demand, price and lead time needs, and in accordance with documented purchase plans.
  • Identify and maintain purchasing plans for raw materials and maintain in PFEP and MRP system.
  • Resolve pricing, delivery, and quality issues with suppliers.
  • Manage supplier performance: collect and evaluate supplier OTD and quality metrics, communicate and resolve performance issues with suppliers, escalate supplier non-performance trends to Supply Chain Director

Education & Experience Requirements:

High School, GED or educational equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

The employee must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form.

The employee must have the ability to stay organized and utilize math to assist with job functions.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Physical Demands

Physical demands include sitting, typing and talking on the phone frequently.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and/or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is rarely loud.

Travel and overtime are required when necessary.
