GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Provides support to upper-level Packaging Maintenance Technicians and performs basic mechanical maintenance tasks under supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists upper-level technicians to observe, troubleshoot and repair Packaging related equipment in operation. Helps to identify and replace defective components.

2. Assists with disassembly and assembly of packaging equipment.

3. Assist with line changeovers and machine set ups.

4. Cleans and dries mechanical components.

5. Comply with all cGMP, SOPs and Safety guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of 12 months related experience in fields such as automotive repair, aircraft mechanical repair, diesel engine repair or similar. Completion of two (2) year trade school certification program highly preferred. High degree of mechanical aptitude required.
