Collective Impact Officer

The Community Education Building Delaware is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and visionary leader to serve as our next Collective Impact Officer.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Collective Impact Officer serves as a senior leader responsible for advancing CEB’s collective impact strategy across schools, families, community partners, and internal teams. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape how CEB brings people, services, and systems together to help students and families thrive while working toward recognition as a national model for integrated, community-centered support.

About the Role

This position oversees key collective impact functions, including Cradle to Career Services, data management and analysis, volunteer and ambassador coordination, and program partnerships. Working in close partnership with the CEO, the Chief Strategy and Development O?cer, and school and community stakeholders, the Collective Impact O?cer helps align internal execution with external engagement, remove barriers to student and family success, and drive measurable community impact across Wilmington and the state.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a relationship builder—someone who can bring diverse stakeholders together, facilitate meaningful collaboration, use data to drive decision-making, and translate vision into action.

What You'll Do

Lead Collective Impact Strategy

  • Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and implement CEB's collective impact vision and strategy.
  • Align internal teams, community partners, and stakeholders around shared goals and measurable outcomes for students and families.
  • Identify emerging community needs, service gaps, and opportunities to strengthen supports and interventions.
  • Help position CEB as a leader in integrated, community-based solutions that improve educational and life outcomes.

Build and Strengthen Partnerships

  • Convene and facilitate collaborative partnerships among schools, community organizations, government agencies, funders, and other stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships that promote shared accountability and coordinated action.
  • Serve as a trusted ambassador for CEB within the community and across partner networks.
  • Work closely with the Chief Strategy and Development Officer to support strategic external engagement opportunities.

Improve Outcomes for Students and Families

  • Oversee programs and services that support students and families throughout the cradle-to-career continuum.
  • Strengthen service navigation, advocacy, referral pathways, and coordinated supports.
  • Ensure programs and partnerships are responsive to community needs and grounded in equity and inclusion.
  • Promote continuous improvement to maximize impact and effectiveness.

Drive Data-Informed Decision Making

  • Establish performance measures, dashboards, and reporting systems that track outcomes and impact.
  • Use data and evaluation findings to guide strategic decisions, resource allocation, and program improvements.
  • Monitor progress toward organizational and community-wide goals.
  • Support grant reporting, stakeholder communications, and accountability efforts.

Lead and Develop Teams

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision across the collective impact portfolio.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Support cross-functional planning, budgeting, and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders across CEB to ensure alignment between strategy, operations, and service delivery.
Requirements:

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, public administration, social work, public health, nonprofit leadership, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in collective impact, community partnerships, education, youth and family services, nonprofit leadership, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of senior leadership experience managing staff, programs, or complex cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success building and sustaining partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong strategic planning, facilitation, systems-thinking, and project leadership skills.
  • Experience using data, evaluation, and performance metrics to improve outcomes and inform decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, grant management, and grant reporting.
  • Knowledge of collective impact frameworks and cross-sector partnership models.
  • Familiarity with student supports, family services, educational systems, and community-based interventions.
  • Knowledge of Wilmington's communities, assets, and challenges.
