Position Overview

Barefoot Mosquito & Pest Control is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Houston branch. This position is responsible for managing service technicians, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting branch growth and profitability. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with pest control management experience who is committed to developing high-performing teams and delivering outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities. This role reports directly to the Branch Manager.

Operations Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch.
  • Ensure services are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitor service schedules, route efficiency, and technician productivity.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to achieve operational and financial goals.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, coach, and manage service technicians and support staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead by example and promote company values throughout the branch.
  • Address performance concerns and implement corrective action plans when necessary.

Customer Experience

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residential and commercial customers.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and customer retention.
  • Monitor service quality and implement improvements as needed.

Business Growth & Financial Performance

  • Support branch revenue growth through operational excellence and customer retention.
  • Manage branch budgets and expenses to achieve profitability goals.
  • Analyze performance metrics and implement strategies to improve results.
  • Collaborate with company leadership on initiatives that support long-term growth and operational success.

Requirements:

Qualifications

Required

  • Pest control management experience.
  • Proven leadership experience managing field service teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to motivate, develop, and hold team members accountable.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

Preferred

  • Experience managing branch-level operations.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, routing, and service management software.
  • Proven ability to improve operational performance and customer retention.
