Clinical Placement Faculty at Harrisburg University – Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time higher education nursing faculty member to join our nursing faculty team. This vital role involves coordinating clinical placement for all nursing programs, including using the document manager platform for all clinical placement required documents. In addition, this role requires a teaching component in the nursing program(s). There will be other job duties as well, including assistance with curriculum review and updating courses, being a working member of several committees and other duties as delineated by the Chief Nursing Officer/Program Lead. The ideal candidate will possess strong nursing skills, knowledge related to clinical placement, experience in teaching higher education students, knowledge and understanding of CCNE nursing essentials and competencies, and a strong commitment to excellence and support in building the nursing program. Duties

· Coordinate clinical placement of all nursing program students.

· Collaborate with healthcare facilities and healthcare professionals to acquire clinical placements for the students.

· Maintain accurate documentation of clinical placement documents and student records in the education management platform.

· Assist students in uploading required documents in the education management platform.

· Monitor education management platform for student completion and readiness for clinical.

· Ensure all required documents, such as evaluations, are uploaded to the education management platform prior to the end of semester.

· Work with platform representatives to include course learning outcomes in the education management platform.

· Actively teach in the nursing program.

· Other duties as requested.

Experience

· Proven experience in the field of nursing.

· Experience in teaching at the university level.

· Familiarity with nursing regulations and best practices.

· Experience in clinical placement (desired).

· Experience with electronic education management system (EXXAT) for clinical rotations (desired).

· Prior leadership or coordination experience within a clinical setting is preferred but not required.

· MSN, DNP, or PhD required.
