POSITION SUMMARY
The Applications Systems Analyst IV has knowledge and skills in system design, analysis, and development used to execute highly complex or specialized projects. Ability to integrate new technology, new software features, or custom developed solutions into current workflows. Ensures that systems and processes meet regulatory compliance, using advanced in-depth knowledge of systems and system requirements, coordinates activities between technical and application teams and collaborates with IT managers and application colleagues to support configuration and implementation of applications/solutions. This senior analyst position requires process and/or application expertise and strong leadership skills to work with key stakeholders, end-users and team members to identify and resolve issues throughout the system development phases of assessment, design/build, testing, training, and implementation. Will be expected to write documentation; including but not limited to manuals, CSC Knowledge Base and SOP's to describe program development, logic, coding, corrections, installation and operating systems. Must have a working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts.
The Applications Systems Analyst IV is responsible for taking formal or informal lead on project tasks and is a subject matter expert on a large scale across multiple areas and disciplines and has the ability to work within a fast paced environment to deliver high quality solutions and play an integral part of a cohesive team. This position also delivers exceptional ability to work successfully with all healthcare- delivery teams as required
IT positions are dynamic and sometimes require flexible work schedules. This position will require on-call responsibilities.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in IT, nursing, or related required (or 2 additional years of related experience can be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree).
EXPERIERNCE: Master Degree preferred. 6 years related experience required. Clinical/financial experience as it relates to healthcare IT required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

Applications Systems Analyst IV
* Ability to mentor Analysts I, II and III.*
* Utilize the ITIL framework in the areas of incident, change and problem management services within AtlantiCare.*
* Leads by example, motivates and promotes positive team morale.*
* Effectively collaborates with business and clinical personnel to identify, document and meet business information needs.*
* Leads the design, development, analysis and implementation of information systems that meet project objectives.*
* Conducts studies and analysis as required to support business and project objectives.*
* Ability to develop and document system requirements.*
* Facilitates current state and future state documentation and develops gap analysis as needed.*
* Coordinates the selection and purchase of hardware and related equipment that meet business needs.*
* Makes sound recommendations and assists in the implementation of processes and workflows that enhance the use of system applications and/or facilitates quality improvement initiatives.*
* Effectively integrates computer systems and processes across functions/business units.*
* Assumes project leadership responsibility or assists other project leaders as required.* Collaborates effectively with project team members, end-users and leadership, and applies accepted project management principles.*
* Utilize the ITIL framework, leads incident, change and problem management services as it relates to their respective team within AtlantiCare IT.*
* Ensures a smooth and thorough turnover process to technical and operational support including but not limited to documentation.*
* Maintains an expert in-depth knowledge of the application and the departments using the application.*
* May be required to develop and provide training to users.*
* Develops and maintains an expert/ in depth level of knowledge of the system application and/or service by effectively resolving daily problems and issues.* Responsible for innovative enhancement of system functionality.*
* Consistently and accurately maintains the application system database as well as supporting documents to include new information and system codes, policies, and procedures, user guides/manuals, and periodic data maintenance (purging, re-indexing, and/or change management documentation testing) as required.*
* Responds effectively and timely to user issues and problems; acts as a resource and mentor to other departments and application systems analysts.*
* Generates accurate and timely reports, ensuring data validity.*
* Performs system tests and audits; makes recommendations for resolution of system issues or establishment or new procedures.*
* Assists in the technical development of staff in their area to identify on-the-job training, formal training and work assignments. This includes providing feedback to the employee on their performance expectation as it relates to the technical aspect of their job.*
* Understands and practices the AIT values and CI CARE principles.*
* Adheres to AtlantiCare and AIT Policies and Procedures.*
* Performs other duties as assigned.*
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works with such equipment as computers, laptops, printers, fax machine, copier, and telephone. This position requires repetitive motion, fingering, hearing, pushing, reaching, and reading, calculating, seeing, speaking, standing, and walking a majority of the time. Occasional driving also required.

This position reports to department leadership.
