Teacher - English Language Arts (Middle School)- Providence Catholic School at Archdiocese of San Antonio – San Antonio, Texas

Reports to: Principal

Description:

Seeking Christian role model teachers who will enable students to develop competencies and skills and help form responsible leaders for tomorrow. Seeking teachers who will provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in academics to help students fulfill their potential for spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth.

Seeking highly energetic, motivated and innovative teachers who are able to implement various teaching strategies in order to accommodate the students’ different learning styles. Teachers must be able to work with both middle school and high school students.

English teaching responsibilities preferred: English Language Arts Grade 6 through 8 (on-level and accelerated courses), Speech, Journalism

Education

Bachelor’s degree (Teaching or Education preferred)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Teachers must hold a bachelor’s degree in the area they are assigned to teach as well as 12 education hours.
• Teacher Certification preferred, or enrolled in a teaching certification program.
• Technology proficiency is required of teachers who will be integrating technology into the content areas.
• Additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
