About This Position
MRO Quoter
Job Summary
The MRO Quoter is responsible for working with the Maintenance Sales Managers to prepare customer quotes and proposals. The Maintenance Quoter will assist in increasing sales and gross profit for Western Aircraft. Optimum candidates will have thorough knowledge of airframe inspection requirements, quoting, systems, OEM partners, vendors, and pricing.
Duties & Responsibilities- Efficiently generate proposals requested by customers and Regional Sales Managers (RSM) through Corridor, and related Word / Excel documents and uploading proposals as appropriate in Salesforce.com
- Assemble MRO work package/statement of work (SOW) based on customer profile and maintenance tracking tools, including items such as maintenance due list, service bulletins, aircraft configuration, and modification functionality/integration needs
- Update and maintain aircraft status and opportunity records in Salesforce.com
- Accurately research and cost/price parts, labor, engineering, and outside services for MRO opportunities
- Proactively work with Sales and Service Managers and other Aircraft Services staff to ensure quotes are accurate, and support profitability targets for the company. Coordinate with this same group to ensure manpower, resources, and hangar space are available and scheduled in support of projects
- Ensure proposal labor rates and gross profit are optimal, and within facility pricing guideline.
- Coordinate with Sales Managers to prioritize quotes to meet deadlines for delivery to customers
- Develop relationships with OEM and vendor partners, and leverage these as required to develop proposals that minimize cost and maximize profitability for the company
- Ensure handoff between MRO Sales and Aircraft Services is accomplished in a timely and accurate fashion, and that all required information is provided in support of ordering outside parts and services
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience with corporate aircraft maintenance
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in writing sales proposals preferred
- Proficiency with, or ability to thoroughly learn Salesforce.com CRM tool
- Strong proficiency with MS Office including creation of spreadsheets, quotes/customer letters, databases, and reports in Excel and Word
- Must have working knowledge of Corridor maintenance tracking system
- Ability to interpret and navigate maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and technical directives.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
- Associate’s degree preferred
- A&P Certification preferred
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
- Work is primarily performed indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. Requires sitting 6-8 hours a day and sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes which permits the employee to function in a general office environment.
