Meat Wrapper at Orcas Island Market – EASTSOUND, Washington

Obtains and prepares meat and fish items by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Wrap and weigh items, determines price, for display case and/or customers.

Displays different cuts and packaged meat and advises customers on quality of food, method of handling, and other factors affecting preparing, freezing, and storing food.

Bags or wraps special requests for customer.

Cleans shelves, cases, and coolers.

Sets up displays, stocks and face shelves, coolers, counter, freezers, containers, or trays with new merchandise.

Rotates stock to maintain freshness, watching for outdated product.

Maintains quality control of waste per written policy.

Abide by all Island Market procedures and safety standards.

Performs any and all other assigned tasks.

Work Environment

Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and to lift objects of up to 50 lbs.
