Purpose of Role

The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance of various sites and leading a team of Lightning Protection Installation Technicians. The primary focus will be to ensure the efficient delivery of projects, maintain high-quality standards and foster positive client relationships. Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills will be crucial in successfully managing the site team and delivering project expectations.

This role requires travel for up to 75% of working time to support project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise lightning protection installation crews on commercial, industrial, and job sites.
  • Ensure all work complies with lightning protection standards (NFPA 780, LPI-175 UL 96A) and project specifications.
  • Conduct safety audits, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Coordinate daily site activities, including scheduling, task assignments, and subcontractor oversight.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Communicate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients regarding site status and issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including timecards, material usage, safety reports, and installation records.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and on‑site training for crew members.
  • Resolve on‑site issues quickly to avoid delays or safety risks.
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in construction, electrical, or lightning protection installation.
  • Proven experience with lightning protection systems, grounding, bonding, and surge protection.
  • Prior experience as a crew lead and ability to supervise crews and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills for directing crews and interacting with stakeholders.
  • OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Familiarity with NFPA and UL and LPI lightning protection standards (advantageous).
  • Problem‑solving skills for addressing on‑site challenges.
  • Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and handle equipment.
  • Competence with digital tools for reporting, scheduling, and documentation
