Role Description
The Assistant Product Manager supports the Product team in the development and execution of Europa and Eyebobs eyewear collections. This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day product development activities, managing product data and timelines, and supporting communication across design, sourcing, operations, marketing, and sales.
This position requires someone who can perform well in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
This is a hands-on role for someone early in their career who is eager to learn the eyewear product lifecycle - from concept through launch - and enjoys working closely with product, samples, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development Support
- Assist the Product team in the development of new eyewear styles from concept through production.
- Track product development timelines to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Coordinate sample requests, approvals, and revisions with international suppliers.
- Maintain product briefs and ensure technical specifications are documented accurately.
- Support the review of samples, materials, colors, and construction details.
- Assist with color selections by organizing color chips, material references, and palette options.
- Coordinate and ship product samples to internal and offsite teams
- Assist with product fit reviews and help capture fit photos and feedback for development records.
- Gather feedback from internal stakeholders and customers to help inform future product improvements.
Product Data & Systems
- Maintain product information in internal systems including SKUs, pricing, materials, and product specifications.
- Ensure product data is accurate and updated for internal teams including sales, marketing, and operations.
- Assist in preparing reports and analysis related to product performance and assortment opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in product management, merchandising, or product development (eyewear, apparel, accessories, or consumer goods preferred). Optical experience is a major plus.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); experience with inventory or ERP systems is a plus.
- Interest in product design, materials, and manufacturing.
