Job Summary
The Director of Learning & Development will lead the development of enterprise-wide learning strategies and frameworks, with a focus on strengthening leadership capability, building organizational skill depth, and supporting workforce readiness across a global, multi-site organization.
This role will partner closely with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and business leaders to ensure development efforts are aligned to operational priorities, succession needs, and the capabilities required to support ongoing growth.
Requirements:Position Responsibilities
- Develop and lead an enterprise learning strategy aligned to business priorities and workforce needs.
- Design and implement scalable learning frameworks that can be consistently applied across locations while allowing for local adaptation.
- Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to identify capability gaps and translate them into targeted development strategies.
- Lead the design and delivery of leadership development programs focused on strengthening manager effectiveness and leadership capability.
- Ensure learning initiatives are directly connected to performance expectations and business outcomes.
- Establish and maintain a structured approach to onboarding, leadership development, and role-based training.
- Own and manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including governance, reporting, and user adoption.
- Partner with the Talent function to align development efforts with succession planning and career progression.
- Define and track measures of learning effectiveness, including participation, capability improvement, and impact on performance.
- Use data and feedback to continuously refine learning programs and frameworks.
- Partner with external vendors as needed to support development programs.

- Leadership capability improves across the organization, particularly at the manager level.
- Internal talent is prepared to step into critical roles.
- Learning programs are consistently adopted across sites and functions.
- Development efforts are aligned to workforce priorities and succession needs.
- LMS is effectively utilized and provides visibility into learning activity.
- Learning initiatives demonstrate measurable impact on performance and capability.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, organizational development, or talent management.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing L&D strategy and execution.
- Experience designing and delivering development programs in a multi-site or global organization.
- Hands-on experience managing a Learning Management System.
- Preferred experience leading LMS selection and implementation.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align learning strategies with organizational priorities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience operating in a complex, matrixed environment.
