Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The ideal candidate will support the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in prescription processing and preparation without exercising professional judgment.
  • Accurately enter prescription, patient, and insurance information into pharmacy systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, rotation, and expiration monitoring.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
  • Support 340B drug pricing program activities, including compliance documentation, and audits, as assigned.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication management.
  • Participate in patient education initiatives regarding medication use and safety.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the KY Board of Pharmacy.
  • Basic knowledge of pharmacy calculations, dosage forms, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Abilit to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care to a diverse patient population.
