Essential Functions:

Field Service Technicians start a REISER career with a product training program at our office in Canton, MA and are welcomed into the Field Service team. As a customer-focused technical product expert, the Technicians will apply highly developed troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical skills, and sound knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic control systems to install new packaging machinery equipment. Additional tasks include providing preventive maintenance and on-site equipment repair.

Job Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Travel 80% (during the week) away from home visiting food plants. You will spend approximately the majority of your time throughout the US for the first 1-2 years and then will be focused to help support the national packaging installation support team.
  • Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications and service manuals to determine work procedures.
  • Engage with customers on site, analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot to isolate problems, and determine actions needed to restore system to performance specifications.
  • Share information with team members, customers, and your supervisor to help prioritize and keep customer apprised of corrective actions and equipment status.
  • Inform customers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Participate as necessary in new projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment.
Requirements:
  • Two plus years of maintenance experience -- servicing, troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical machinery.
  • Practical application of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and techniques to ensure equipment performance at manufacturers specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems.
  • Initiative, critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgement and decision making, persistence, attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, concern for others and leadership.
  • 80% travel during the week – mostly on the by automobile or plane.
  • Food Packaging Machinery experience is desired.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a bonus.
