Director of Catering Sales and Banquet Event Orders in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at Fordson Hotel

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Catering Sales and Banquet Event Orders to lead our catering sales team and ensure the successful planning and execution of banquet events. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive revenue growth, foster client relationships, and deliver exceptional event experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a proven track record in catering and event sales.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for catering and banquet events.

- Manage and oversee the Banquet Event Order (BEO) process from initial inquiry through event execution.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure seamless event delivery.

- Lead, motivate, and train the catering sales team to meet and exceed sales goals.

- Collaborate with culinary, operations, and service teams to create customized event proposals that meet client needs and budget.

- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.

- Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and post-event reports.

- Ensure all events are executed according to company standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.

- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and event details in the CRM system.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in catering sales, event planning, or hospitality management.

- Proven success in sales and client relationship management.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

- Knowledge of banquet and catering operations, including BEO processes.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
