Job Description

The Associate Director Commercial Program Management will be a key participant in the US Commercial organization, supporting both inline and pipeline assets. The role will be responsible for coordinating Commercial growth driver initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Planning

  • Develop and maintain operational functional framework for activity and meeting management.
  • Lead annual goals planning and interface with corporate processes for tracking and reporting.
  • Build and manage an annual strategic calendar covering:
  • Tier 1 & 2 Congresses, Ad Boards, QBRs, BoD meetings, Sales Leadership, Manager’s Meetings, Brand planning, Speaker Trainings, and launches.
  • Facilitate leadership team (LT) agenda planning and priority discussions with Commercial Strategy & Portfolio Manager.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills via presentation in MS PowerPoint as well as expertise in Smartsheet and ThinkCell applications.

Program & Portfolio Management

  • Oversee marketing project portfolio across Consumer, Peer-to-Peer, and HCP initiatives to identify conflicts, prioritize effectively, and optimize resource use.
  • Partner with Commercial initiative leads to plan, coordinate, and track activities including launches, campaigns, commercial initiative “growth drivers”, and sales force initiatives.
  • Interface with PRC PMs to monitor performance metrics and ensure timely execution.
  • Facilitate internal marketing and commercial sub-team meetings.
  • Support Commercial Leadership in cross-functional meetings tracking follow-ups and reporting outcomes.
  • Collaborate with agency partners to align PRC timelines and monitor execution.
  • Onboard new agency partners and manage IT/Teams site access.
  • Perform additional activities as assigned by manager.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support

  • Coordinate with allied Commercial functions (Sales Training, TLL, Access, CommOps) to align resources and activities.
  • Promote adoption of tools and technologies that streamline commercial operations.
  • Support Congress team with follow-ups from Tier 1 & 2 meetings.
  • Assist with Ad Board planning, including agenda/content development and post-session follow-ups.
  • Engage in budgeting, LRP processes, and contract management as needed.
  • Serve as point of contact for cross-functional business partners (TechOps, Finance, PRC, HR Corp Comm, etc).

Education & Licenses and Experience

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8 or more years of relevant marketing, commercial operations, PRC, and program management experience. Previous experience in a consultative role is a plus.

Competencies & Skills

  • Strong experience with SmartSheet and ThinkCell timeline creation
  • Experience working with Veeva PROMOMats for Commercial team submissions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with little supervision
  • Ability to adapt well under pressure
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Possess a curiosity and openness to new methodologies and a drive to expand the toolkit to better serve the business
  • Excellent strategic thinking capabilities and equally excellent tactical execution skills
  • Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving
  • Ability to interact effectively with/present to (verbally and in writing) all levels of the organization, from Product Managers to Senior Executives
  • Proven experience as a high performer and thought leader
  • Experienced project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks to achieve established deadline
