About the Role
The Financial Analyst supports the finance function through departmental and consolidated financial reporting, budgeting, and the development of management dashboards and analytics. Working alongside the Accounting Supervisor, this role focuses on transforming financial data into actionable insight for leadership and department heads, rather than day-to-day transactional accounting. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in formalizing the budgeting process and building out the company’s reporting and business intelligence capabilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Consolidation- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for each department and operating entity, including variance commentary against budget and prior period.
- Manage intercompany eliminations and consolidation entries across entities to produce accurate consolidated financial statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities as they relate to reporting and analysis.
- Ensure consistency and integrity of reporting across departments and entities.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the formalization and ongoing administration of the annual budget process.
- Consolidate departmental budget submissions into entity-level and group-level budgets.
- Assist in preparing rolling forecasts and reforecasts as business conditions change.
- Track actual results against budget and flag material variances to the Vice President of Finance.
Business Intelligence & Dashboards
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI, Excel, and other tools to support operational and executive decision-making.
- Develop KPIs and metrics in collaboration with department leaders.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and reduce manual effort.
- Maintain documentation for reports, data sources, and calculation methodologies.
Ad-Hoc Analysis
- Respond to ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from department managers and senior leadership.
- Build financial models to support operational decisions, capital expenditures, and special projects.
- Perform profitability, margin, and trend analysis across departments and entities.
Cross-Functional Support
- Provide flex support to the accounting team on AP/AR and other transactional tasks during peak periods, absences, or special initiatives.
- Work closely with the Supervisor, Accounting to ensure data flowing into reports is accurate and reconciled.
- Support the Vice President of Finance on special projects as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience. Recent graduates and candidates with public accounting experience are encouraged to apply.
- Currently enrolled in, or planning to pursue, the CPA Ontario pathway.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modelling.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or a demonstrated aptitude and interest in learning it. Experience with SQL or other data tools is an asset.
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts and financial statements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Industry exposure in automotive, collision repair, or multi-entity environments is an asset.

The pay range for this role is:
65,000 - 85,000 CAD per year(London, ON)
