The Faith Formation Assistant at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church supports the parish’s catechetical and evangelization mission by providing administrative, organizational, and communication support for faith formation programs. This role assists in coordinating sacramental preparation, religious education, and parish formation initiatives in alignment with the teachings of the Catholic Church, helping to foster spiritual growth within the parish community.

RESPONSIBILITY:

• Provide general administrative assistance to the Director of Faith Formation
• Maintain accurate records of student registrations, sacramental preparation, and attendance
• Manage databases, forms, and program documentation
• Answer phones, emails, and inquiries related to faith formation programs
• Other duties as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Practicing Catholic in good standing with knowledge of Church teachings and parish life
• Prior administrative or office experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic database systems
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a heart for ministry

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit, stand, and use office equipment
• Occasional lifting of supplies (up to 50 lbs)

HOURS & SALARY:

• 20–29 hours per week (part-time, non-exempt hourly position)
• Availability for evenings and weekends is required
• Pay range: $18–$19 per hour
