Responsibilities

Production Planning and Execution

  • Monitor daily production output against targets and adjust schedules as needed to meet demand and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Oversee the entire manufacturing process, including material staging, cutting, milling, assembly, sanding, and quality control.

Quality Assurance and Control

  • Establish and enforce strict quality control standards for all stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring products meet company and customer specifications.
  • Implement and manage a robust final inspection protocol before packaging and shipment.
  • Address and resolve quality issues and customer complaints quickly and effectively, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

Personnel Management and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of production leads and production staff.
  • Maintain a positive and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure that all manufacturing operations adhere to safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in production leadership within a manufacturing environment, preferably in woodworking, cabinetry, or custom millwork.
  • Proven knowledge of woodworking machinery, materials, and processes involved in cabinet door manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Spanish speaking is preferred

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:

  • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Move about the factory floor to access machinery, materials, and product storage.
  • Transport materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Position self to work on equipment, including bending, kneeling, and stooping.
  • Operate, activate, and use production machinery and hand tools that require repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Detect and inspect parts for quality control at close vision (less than 20 inches) and assess safety hazards from a distance (20 feet or more).
  • Communicate effectively with other team members regarding production processes.

The employee will be exposed to a manufacturing environment where the noise level can be loud and will work around moving mechanical parts. Regular exposure to airborne particles and temperature fluctuations should be expected. The use of appropriate PPE is required.
