About This Position
The Personal Wealth Advisor at Great Waters Financial serves in a client-facing advisory role, delivering holistic financial guidance that supports our mission of empowering people to Live Greatly®. This role owns the end-to-end client relationship, including leading strategy sessions, providing ongoing advice, and ensuring consistent service delivery between meetings.
Based in our Shoreview office, this position acts as a key representative and voice of the Great Waters Financial Plan, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless and comprehensive client experience with our team approach. The Personal Wealth Advisor plays a critical role in fostering strong client relationships and driving engagement, satisfaction, and long-term retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Manage an assigned client base, ensuring consistent and effective service delivery through defined touch-points, meeting cadence, and proactive follow-through. Build strong relationships so each client feels known, prioritized, and confident in their financial plan.
- Client Strategy & Advice Delivery: Lead client-facing strategy sessions to understand goals and preferences, gather key financial and non-financial information, and deliver holistic advice aligned with the Great Waters Financial planning philosophy. Guide clients toward decisions that are in their best interest.
- Ongoing Client Service & Engagement: Provide timely, proactive advice outside of scheduled meetings through phone, email, and virtual communication. Monitor client sentiment, anticipate needs, and follow up on key action items to drive engagement and satisfaction.
- Client Communication & Coordination: Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions within firm systems (e.g., Salesforce). Serve as the central point of coordination by communicating client needs, priorities, and updates across internal teams to ensure alignment and follow-through.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution: Partner closely with Planning, Client Experience, and Operations teams to implement financial strategies and deliver a seamless, end-to-end client experience.
- Client Experience & Retention: Drive client satisfaction and retention by delivering consistent, high-quality service and reinforcing the value of the Great Waters Financial Plan through every interaction.
- Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, firm policies, and quality standards, including proper handling of client documentation and service requests. Identify and support opportunities to improve processes, communication, and overall client outcomes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years experience within the financial services industry, within a licensed capacity delivering advice
- Series 65 license and Life and Health Insurance license required
- Note: Planning related designations such as CFP® or other advanced planning designations are a strong plus.

Pay Transparency Statement:
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 annually. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and organizational performance. Great Waters offers a comprehensive benefits package, details of which are outlined above.
