About the role
- Saliense is now hiring a Service Desk Technician to join our team in Arlington, VA. Candidates must possess an active Secret Clearance to be considered. This is an onsite position in Arlington, VA. The Technician will, under direct supervision, provide support to end-users for PC, server of mainframe applications and hardware.
What you'll do
- Experience providing support to end-users for PC, server or mainframe applications, and hardware.
- Experience interacting with network services, software systems engineering and/or applications development personnel to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems.
- Experience simulating or recreating user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
- Experience recommending systems modifications to reduce user problems.
- Experience referring more complex problems to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 2+ years of experience in listed tasks
- Interim or Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Active DoD IAT Level II or III Certification
- Must have an active Computing Environment (CE) certification.
- Knowledge of remote access software, Office Automation Software Suites and a high level of expertise with Operating Systems and Networking
- Experience using Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Products.
- Familiarity with Flank Speed is a plus.
- Familiarity with Service now is a plus.
- Prior experience supporting Department of Navy, DoD or other federal government agencies is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, among the customers base and Help Desk management.
- Experience using Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Products.
