Monday – Friday, 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M., varied start and end times POSITION SUMMARY:
The Office Manager retains the primary responsibility for the daily operations of the practice for one (1) or more physicians. Duties include supervision and coordination of front desk associates and their daily functions, scheduling, patient registration, information collection for patient encounters, maintenance of scheduling and registration systems and related software as well as the preservation of customer satisfaction through timely and courteous response to all customer contacts. The Office Manager performs a variety of clerical tasks to support the front desk in addition to holding the responsibility of ensuring smooth operation. The position is heavily oriented towards public contact in terms of telephone and in person interactions with patients and family members as well as physicians and staff. Confidentiality must be maintained at all times. The Office Manager must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to age groups according to specific chronological age, demonstrated age, and/or Psycho-social maturity. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education:
High school graduate or equivalent and medical terminology knowledge required. Required length of experience:
Two years prior experience in physician or hospital setting is required along with one year of supervisory and coordination experience of associates. Advanced knowledge of personal computer and typing at a minimum of 35 wpm is required. Strong organizational skills in billing and familiarity with ICD-10, and CPT coding required. Communication skills with the general public in person and on the telephone are required. Required licensure, certification, and/or registry:
