Industrial Electrician in Odessa, Florida at Serve Electric
Job Description
Serve Electric | 7-12 Month Project in Miami, FL | Travel to Job Sites
About This RoleThis role is tied to a 7-12 month industrial project in the Miami area. When it wraps, you’ll travel with us to other job sites, most likely throughout Florida, but possibly anywhere in the U.S. since Serve Electric is licensed in 49 states. You’ll work alongside Journeyman electricians on industrial job sites, taking on real responsibility while building toward your Journeyman card.
You’ll need to be a registered electrical apprentice to work with us. If you’re not registered yet, we’ll help you get there.
Industrial experience is strongly preferred for this role. While residential and commercial electrical experience can provide a foundation, it does not fully translate to the demands of this position. We are seeking electricians with proven industrial experience, specifically in troubleshooting, large conduit and wire pulls, motor controls, 480V systems, transformers, and working within industrial environments, who can contribute effectively from day one.
What We Offer- Competitive pay based on your experience and level, with a clear path upward
- Prevailing wage project pay: the Miami project is a prevailing wage job, so you’ll earn a higher, project-specific rate for its duration.
- Full benefits package: health, dental, vision, life insurance, STD/LTD, and HSA
- Per diem and lodging for travel assignments
- Paid time off
- 401(k) with matching

- Working with lighting, transformers, motor controls, and switchboards
- Measuring, threading, bending, and running EMT and rigid conduit (½" – 4")
- Assisting with feeder sizing and tooling requirements per job
- Mentoring and helping train newer apprentices (Level 3-4)
- Communicating clearly with customers, managers, and the team
- Level 2-4 apprentice standing with 3,000+ documented on-the-job hours
- Registered electrical apprentice status, or willingness to register (we’ll help with the process)
- A clear, demonstrated goal of earning your Journeyman card
